The Highlander

  • Description

"A busy roadside pub beside the A696 north of Ponteland. When I visited in April 2010, I reported that the letter "D" was missing from the pub name [[1800071]]. Another visitor in February 2011 recorded that the letter "D" had been restored, but that there were now another three letters missing - "I", "N" and "R" [[2285395]]. This time (May 2012), I find that the sign has been replaced with a brand new one, and that the paint scheme has been changed from maroon to green. The speed camera is still in position."
