  • Description

    "This house was demolished as part of the construction of Kielder Reservoir and the site is now submerged. I was told that the headteacher of the school lived there at one time. The colliery closed in 1932 and the school; would have closed around about that time. I think a forestry worker was living in it at the time of this visit." Photo by Les Hull, 1970.
