A new lease of light for Blyth Bandstand
-
Description
News: 12 Feb 2019. "An iconic coastal landmark will soon be shining bright again after the council agreed to reinstall the lights at Blyth Bandstand. The bandstand near South Beach was built in around 1929 and regularly plays host to live music and events. But for several years its lights haven’t worked and now work will get underway later this month to bring the bandstand back to its former glory. There are lights at the base of the pillars and around the bandstand which will all be replaced with new energy efficient LED lights and tested so the structure will be properly lit once again. The work will cost around £11,000 and will be completed before the end of March....." -
