Big spoon beside the footpath

  • Description

"I'm not sure what's going on as there's no nearby panel to explain anything. It just looks like someone has dropped a massive spoon from quite high up and left it here. The text on the handle reads "Eat for England". The new Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital can be seen in the background, but I think the spoon pre dates the hospital. The unusual artwork (if it is an artwork) stands beside a public footpath which follows the edge of an arable field. See [[5653924]] for a wider view." Photo by Graham Robson, 2018.
