    "This bridge carried the old Border Counties Railway from Hexham to Riccarton Junction over the road from Bellingham to Redesmouth. The railway was opened in 1861, passenger services were discontinued in 1956 and this section of the line finally closed in 1963." Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2011.
