    "Dated 1626, the north and south-west wings late C17. Roughcast stone rubble, old slate roof with laced valleys and five round chimneys, tapering, on square bases. two storeys, with slate dripstone over ground floor. Wood-mullioned windows (four of 5 lights, three of 3 lights). L plan, with gabled wing to south-west with later windows. A small overhanging oriel with a catslide roof. Doorway in angle of L. rear wing has spiral staircase with cross windows. A small wing to east has three round chimneys...."
