Wood carving at Townend Farm

  • Description

"Much of the furniture at Townend Farm was ornately carved by the last George Browne. Some of the dates carved on the furniture are misleading, and were an attempt by George to make the items appear more antique than they really were. There are many designs used in the carvings which are obviously copied from pictures that George would have seen about exploration around the world." Photo by Carol Walker, 2013.
