Auditorium-Newcastle City Hall

  • Description

Auditorium viewed from the stage: Newcastle City Hall was built in 1928 (The same year that the Tyne bridge opened and Newcastle Brown first went on sale!) as part of the City Pool. They realised after the pool was built that a third of the building was not needed so created a venue for meetings and concerts. The magic of the Newcastle venue is the atmosphere caused by the close proximity of the performers to the audience.
