Parked up for the weekend

  • Description

"Two class 37 locomotives parked up for the weekend on the depot. This depot is now shut. Its reason for existence was the movement of coal from local mines to the power station which has also closed along with all of the local mines. A couple of open cast sites still remain open but the coal movement is much reduced." Photo by roger geach, 1985.
