"War Memorial. 1919. By Major C Oakley. For Barrow Haematite Steel Co. Sculptors Fairburn and Hull; all of Barrow. Portland limestone with iron railings and bronze plaques. Circular platform with railings between 4 flights of steps having piers and balustrades with bronze insets and guilloche ornament. Central obelisk has plinth with convex corners and bronze plaques...."
