Mine buildings, Cambokeels

  • Description

"The main building here contained amongst other things the miners' washroom and lockers and the mine ambulance room. In 1994, the latter still contained a stretcher and a ransacked first aid cabinet, while overalls and safety helmets still hung in the 'dry'. The 1847 mine portal lies in the background between the two buildings." Photo by John Gibson, 1994.
