Greenleighton shrunken medieval village (Rothley with Hollinghill)
-
Description
"Greenleighton may be the site of a shrunken medieval village. The fields around the present farm include earthworks of banks, enclosures and building platforms. There is said to have been a chapel here, and documentary evidence may shed more light on the former village. Until the mid-18th century the holding was divided into two separate farmsteads known as East and West Greenleighton...." -
