Newfield coal and coke plant

  • Description

"Huge mountains of coal on an industrial site below Newfield. One wonders exactly what goes on here. Is it a storage facility, a coke producing plant [are there still such things?], or even a mine still producing coal? To the casual passer-by, there's no easy answer." Photo by Gordon Hatton, 2016.
