    "...Ornamental gothic Cross on octagonal fluted column and plinth with 2 circular bases. Inscription and names on plinth and shaft. Whole enclosed by pillared wall and railings with entrance gate. Made of Rubislow Aberdeen grey granite. Inscription East Face- THIS STONE WAS/ERECTED BY THE/INHABITANTS OF/PARTON & MORESBY/TO THE GLORY OF GOD/& IN LOVING MEMORY OF/THE OFFICERS, NCO'S & MEN/WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/IN THE GREAT WAR/1914-1918...."
