    "A century or more ago one technique used to obtain lead ore from the land was to build a dam and then flush the ore out downhill when the dam was broken. In Upper Teesdale one of the biggest such "Hushes" is the Coldberry Gutter. This is the view in the "Hush" looking East." Photo by Uncredited, 2003.
