The village school at Milburn
-
Description
"Milburn is typical of many villages in the Eden Valley with old houses spread around a large green. Pevsner in 'The Buildings of England: Cumberland and Westmorland' describes Milburn: "The village is obviously made and not grown. It has an oblong green with houses, mostly not detached, on all four sides. Streets enter at the four corners, and the approach roads are managed so as to make that possible. At the top of the Green set into it is the school of 1851."" Photo by Marathon, 2018. -
