    The Grand Hotel is located on Grand Parade, by the sea front at Tynemouth. It was originally built in 1872 as seaside house for Duchess of Northumberland, by Thomas Moore of Sunderland (architect of Monkwearmouth Station and Corby Hall in Sunderland). It became a hotel in 1877. The hotel is a Grade II listed building.
