    "...The Seaton Delaval Arts Centre is a modern facility for the enjoyment of the ‘Arts’ in the local environment. The 162 seater community theatre opened in 2007 after months of hard work and dedication, with the building being redeveloped from an old Salvation Army hall into a high standard multi use community space. The first production took place in December 2007, Aladdin by Seaton Delaval Pantomime Society. As a registered charity and not for profit organisation, the venue is ran entirely by volunteers providing a well maintained building not only for the arts, but for the whole community to enjoy..."

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria. Co-Curate is a trans-disciplinary project that will open up 'official' museum and 'un-officia'l co-created community-based collections and archives through innovative collaborative approaches using social media and open archives/data.
