The Parish footprint is either in the Lake District National Park or within what is regarded as the setting of the Lake District National Park. The picturesque area is predominately Pastoral Farmland, Open Fell and Marshland. Within its boundary are the villages of The Green, The Hill, Lady Hall and Thwaites. On the North West side, shadowed by Black Combe, is the Whicham Valley and to the South the Duddon Estuary....." -
