    "Farm buildings. c.1757 for Sir William Middleton. ... Central section has 7 segmental arches with keystones. All are now blocked up and have boarded doors set in. The central arch is wider with a tall castellated dovecote tower above. It has a large quatrefoil with moulded surround, formerly the entry to the dovecote but now blocked up; and it once had a spire. Interior of dovecote has many brick nesting boxes....."
