Text Appearing Before Image: r-ation of it. They therefore set down the manner of the elections, inorder that the privy council might consider it. In November theburgesses petitioned the privy council direct, stating that they haveheard of the presentation of a report upon the complaints, and asthey have attended in town about five weeks, to the great charge ofthe poor citizens, they ask for a copy of the document, and pray thatthe lords of the council will appoint a day for a hearing. Payments made by the churchwardens of All Saints this yearinclude the following :—For one pair of bellows for the organs, 2/.;for wire for the chimes, 5s. Qd.; to John Pattison, for blowing organs,which was due the 21st of November, 1632, 4s.; charges for twochurchwardens and five joiners riding to Branspeth with Mr. Chan-cellor, i/. 5s.; paid for ringing at the kings majesty his coming totown, 6s.; paid for ringing at his majestys return, 4s. 2d.; given to apoor Bohemian minister, 6s.; given to two distressed travellers, is. 6d.
