Description
For my first vlog with the Mavic 2 Pro, I travel to the South Tyne Trail at Lambley in Northumberland. Here on part of the trail is the majestic Lambley Viaduct, originally opened in 1852. Built to facilitate the transportation of coal and lead by rail, from Alston to Haltwhistle (for transshipment across the UK), it was also a single track passenger train until its closure in 1976. A little over 260m in length and 33m in height, supported by nine 17m wide arches it is a magnificent example of victorian engineering. The structure is likely designed by George Barclay Bruce, but there is no definitive account. It is now a Grade II listed structure. I explore part of the trail itself, before shooting cinematic drone footage of the Viaduct with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
