Sturton Grange (Warkworth)
-
Description
"Sturton Grange was a farm owned by the Cistercian Abbey at Newminster. In 1584 Scottish thieves raided it. A medieval watermill probably also stood here. The ruins of a post-medieval watermill are still visible, though they are very overgrown. The boundary of the grange has been traced using a variety of sources and some elements remain visible on the ground...." -
