Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Rockcliffe with Cargo - April 2017

  • Description

"Built 1848 by James Stewart of Carlisle, the current Church replaced a medieval church on the same site. The tower was replaced in 1900 after being struck by lightning. Grade II listed - sadly, the Church is not open outside times of worship. However, Alexander P Kapp visited in 2008 and the start of his internal views may be found: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2183691 ." Photo by The Carlisle Kid, 2017.
