    "House. C18 and early C19, of several different builds. Centre of south front brick in mixed Flemish and English Garden Wall bonds; late C18 west extension and rear stair wing brick with alternating pairs of headers and stretchers every 4th course; early C19 east extension brick in English Garden Wall bond 1 and 4....The house was built by John Grey who purchased the estate in 1732, and made extensions and improvements before his death in 1783...."
