Capped windmill on Langrigg Bank

    "Known as The Windmill or Windmill House; early 19thC with 20thC additions, Grade II Listed. Painted quarry-faced sandstone, under domed wooden cap with brick chimney stack. 3-storey tapering circular tower has C20 casement windows, most in original plain reveals. No internal features of interest. Owner intends to restore sails, which would have been removed before 1860 when it was referred to as being worked alternatively by water and steam."
