Restored barn at Hunderthwaite

  • Description

"This barn stands out in the landscape when walking north by the track from http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1722623, but it only when up close that it becomes apparent that the hinges on the doors and shutters look very new. On the aerial photography used for geolocating this shot, the barn appears completely roofless, so the whole building has clearly been restored to usefulness very recently. The ridge line of the roof does indeed look very straight and level, and there is no coating of moss and lichen on the roof flags." Photo by Andy Waddington, 2010.
