    "View southward, towards Carlisle Citadel etc. Headed by LMS Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0 No. 43049 (built 12/49, withdrawn 8/67), the freight has come out through Canal Junction in Carlisle and is crossing the main lines of the former Caledonian Railway out of Carlisle used by trains to Glasgow etc. The great New Kingmoor Marshalling Yard (opened in 1963) begins immediately to the right."
