Cloffocks Pumping Station
-
Description
"An interesting collection of white-painted buildings protected by razor wire, next to the River Derwent on a lane called the Black Path. Thanks to a photographer on Flickr (Russell_w_b, Cumbria's Industrial Past http://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b/378788734/in/set-72157603792487742/ ) we learned that this was the United Steel pumping station, which supplied cooling water to the Derwent blast furnaces (now gone)."
