Clarewood (Whittington)
-
Description
"This is the site of the deserted medieval village of Clarewood, first recorded in 1296. It survived as a village until the late 17th century when most people left. By the mid-19th century, there were only three farms here, though only two survive. The remains of several areas of ridge and furrow can still be seen...." -
