"House. 1863 for William Browne, incorporating stair turret of the late C16 hall, with late C19 extensions. Rock-faced calciferous sandstone with eaves cornice, open balustraded parapet and V-jointed quoins, on squared plinth. Graduated greenslate roof with ashlar chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 9 bays, with 2 rear right-angled 2-storey, 3-bay extensions and 3-storey left stair turret. 3 recessed bays flanked by 2 projecting bays...."
