    "Lodge and gatepiers. Early C19, 2nd storey added early C20. Ashlar with Lakeland slate roof. 2 storeys. Canted 3-bay front. Central, pedimented Tuscan porch, formerly open, now with C20 glazing. Above, a moulded panel carved with the Ogle arms. 9-pane sash windows, with panelled aprons on ground floor. Cornice and corniced parapet. Hipped roof with corniced ridge stacks...."
