Mealsgate (Wigton, Cumbria) Allhallows Church (now closed)

  • Description

The last remaining pew, now held up at one end by a stone, it remains damp and rotting. The roof has started to fall in and the church now has started returning to nature. The last burial here was in the 1930s and the church was replaced around 1900, since then the church has decayed into it's present condition. A once a year open air service is held in it's grounds.
