Bowness on Solway war memorial

    "The memorial's location in the churchyard can be seen in this photo [[86214]] . There are inscriptions on four sides. On the front face it says 'In memory and honour of the men of this parish who fell in the Great War 1914-1918'. On the adjacent sides 29 names are listed - a heavy toll. On the fourth face : 'and Joseph Millar who fell in the Second Great War 1939-1945'" Photo by Rose and Trev Clough, 2014.
