Ashgill Force in winter
-
Description
"Ashgill Force is an impressive waterfall http://www.english-lakes.com/ashgill_force.htm on a tributary of the South Tyne. This winter scene makes an interesting contrast with [[75460]]. Some climbers can be seen on the ledge behind the waterfall which despite appearances is quite dry. The bridge carries the B6277 Alston to Teesdale road high above the Force, which cannot be seen from the road." Photo by Oliver Dixon, 2009. -
