The River Lune and Blease Fell

  • Description

"Between the Fairmile Road and the river is now CRoW access land allowing this lovely stretch of the Lune to be explored. The sounds of flowing water and trees on the western bank dull the sounds of the M6 motorway which is just above here. A few trains also intruded but only briefly. The Lune Gorge must have been truly idyllic before the construction of the motorway in the sixties." Photo by Karl and Ali, 2015.
