Flood-hit Eamont Bridge to reopen after repairs

    BBC 22 March 2016. "...Eamont Bridge on the A6 near Penrith has been closed since December after floodwater washed away masonry and undermined the structure of the Grade I-listed building. Repairs, which involved replacing grout in the stonework with concrete, have now been completed. Cumbria County Council said the bridge will reopen at 21:00 GMT...."
