"The public house http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1370767 and the house to the far left (No 33 The Green) http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1042669 date from the C18th and are listed buildings. In 1399 Sir William Swinburne purchased lands in Stamfordham, and the Swinburne family have had a long association with the area.
