"Leasingthorne war memorial is located opposite Eden Terrace in Leasingthorne, Durham. It is a sandstone obelisk on square base with two pedestals surrounded by iron railings and a gate...... In 2017 a grant of £7,930 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme to reinstate the base wall and railings. As part of the In Memoriam 2014 project SmartWater was applied to deter the theft or damage of the metal elements...."
