Railway Viaduct over Skelton Beck


A large 11 arched railway viaduct over Skelton Beck was built between 1865 to 1872 by the North Eastern Railway Company to serve the Skinningrove limestone mines.[1] Authorisation for the railway line was granted in 1865, and the line was opened on the 1st June, 1872. The viaduct is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
