Plumgarths


Plumgarths is a hamlet in Cumbria, located 1½ miles north-west of Kendal. Plumgarths is home to the Gateway Inn, Plumgarth Farm Shop complex, and the head office of the Cumbria Wildlife Trust.  Plumgarths Cottages (No. 1 & 2 Crook Road), previously 1 house known as Low Plumgarths, date from 1611 and are Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.[1] Plumgarths is part of Strickland Kettle Civil Parish.

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
