Oxford Street Methodist Church

The former Oxford Street Methodist Church is situated on the corner of Oxford Street and North Parade in Whitley Bay. In 1899 an iron Primitive Methodist chapel was erected here. The present building was constructed in 1904 and could seat a congregation of up to 300 people.[1] The church closed around c.2000. Since 2006, the building has been a Youth Resource Centre run by Depaul UK, a charity supporting young homeless people.
