Old Town, Otterburn

Old Town is a hamlet in Northumberland, located about 1 mile south of Otterburn. It includes a farm, a few cottages and a bungalow. Old Town Farm has been farmed by the Reed family (now Kirsopp-Reed) since the 17th century.[1] The current farmhouse here dates back to the 18th century, and was re-fronted in the mid 19th century.[2] It is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England. The garden walls, walled garden and ha-ha wall date from the 18th and early 19th century, and are separately Grade II listed. The early 19th century cart shed and bothy are also listed. The Grannary and Hemmel are now converted for use as holiday lets.
