Old Town, Mansergh
Old Town is a village in Mansergh Civil Parish in Cumbria, located about 3 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale and 9 miles south-east of Kendal. The village is on the B6254 road, and there is a 19th century milestone by the junction with Old Scotch Road. Durham Ox House here, a Grade II listed building, is recorded as being a public house in the early 19th century, situated by what was the main drovers' route from Scotland. Bannister Barn, near Mireside Farm, dates from the 18th century and is also a listed building.
