Old Milestone, Parton


By the side of the A595 road in Parton is an old milestone, which dates from the mid 19th century. A cast-iron plate on it's north face states "TO WHITEHAVEN 2 MILES". The plate on the south side is missing. This is a Grade II listed structure.[1]
