Old Milepost, north of Grains O'th' Beck Bridge


There is an old triangular cast iron milepost on the B6276 road a short distance north of Grains O'th' Beck Bridge. Since local government reorganisation 1974, Grains O'th' Beck has been part of County Durham, but the milepost was errected by the council of the North Riding of Yorkshire in the 19th or early 20th century. The milepost is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
