Old Maltings

The Old Maltings building is located on Tanners' Bank in North Shields. It was built in the late 18th or early 19th century and was a brewery, before being used as a smoke house (for smoking fish). In more recent times it has been converted for use as a workshop ('North Shields Grinding'). It is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
