Newton Underwood Tower

Attached to an 18th century cottage in Newton Underwood are the ruins of an arch from medieval building. Known as Newton Underwood 'Tower' or the 'Old Walls', the ruins may be the remains of a vaulted and thick walled, defensible building, thought to date from the 16th century.[1] The cottage had been derelict at the end of the 20th Century, but has since been renovated.[2] The building and medieval ruin are Grade II lsted on the National Heritage List for England.
