Narthwaite

Narthwaite is a farm / hamlet in the Eden district of Cumbria. It is situated on a hill close to the confluence of Backside Beck with the River Rawthey; there is a ford over Backside Beck near the settlement. There is a rare type of bank barn at Narthwaite, part of which was used as a Quaker Meeting House between 1823 and 1907.[1] Narthwaite is within Ravenstonedale Civil Parish.
