Low Oxen Fell

Low Oxen Fell is a farm in Cumbria, located about 1½ miles south-west of Skelwith Bridge. The farmhouse, on the east side of Low Oxen Fell (lane), built of stone rubble, dates from the 18th century and is a Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. On the west side of the lane is Low Oxen Fell Cottage, which also dates from the 18th century. It is a rare surviving example of a one-room cottage plan; also a Grade II listed building.[1] The farmhouse and cottage are the property of the National Trust, the gift of Beatrix Potter.
